Patricio Mariaca, M.A.

Registered Psychotherapist (RPQ)
Patricio Mariaca is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). He holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Carleton University, where he focused on interpersonal dynamics and mental well-being.
Patricio completed his graduate clinical training at Brown Counselling and Therapy Services, providing therapy to teens, adolescents and adults. He specializes in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, to help clients manage anxiety, cope with stress, navigate life transitions, and improve interpersonal relationships.

He is well experienced in treating clients dealing with depression, anxiety, life stressors, OCD, Phobias, Grief, and Insomnia. He works extremely well with Couples, and is certified in the Gottman Method -Level 2 in Couples Therapy.

Patricio practices collaboratively with clients, combining a highly compassionate, non-judgmental approach with evidence-based strategies to create a safe, supportive environment. He helps clients explore their values, develop effective coping skills, and address challenges in a way that respects their unique needs and experiences.

Patricio is supervised weekly by Drs. Arthur and Jane Blouin at the Ottawa Centre for Cognitive Therapy (OCCT). He enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring new cuisines in his free time.
