where she specialized in Health Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience and Mental Health. During this time, she conducted research with the Goal Pursuit and Self-Regulation Lab which focused on eating behaviours and attention to food stimuli. Abby has also obtained her Primary Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, NY.

Before joining the OCCT, Abby completed her graduate training at a mental health support program with Carleton University. There, she worked with young adults experiencing a variety of concerns, such as anxiety and depression, trauma, stress and burnout, self-esteem, academic and career concerns, and family of origin issues. Abby was also previously involved in facilitating skill development workshops at Carleton University to assist students in maintaining balance and improving resourcefulness.

Abby has a warm and supportive interpersonal style. She collaborates with clients to identify their strengths, values, and goals to help them create meaningful change in their lives. She utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help her clients meet their unique goals.

Abby is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and practices under the supervision of Dr. Jane Blouin, Dr. Arthur Blouin, Dr. Justin Massey. Abby currently works with children, adolescents and young adults. Her areas of greatest expertise include depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, social anxiety, interpersonal conflict, academic stress and emotional regulation.
