Dr. Michelle Collins, C. Psych.

Dr. Michelle Collins completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas, following a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Manitoba. She completed her pre-doctoral Residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana followed by a Post-doctoral Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Centre (UTSW) where she provided evaluation and treatment to a variety of patient populations, as well as clinical supervision to graduate students in training. Dr. Collins has spent the last 12 years in private practice and has expertise in working with adults and adolescents (age 16+) coping with Anxiety Disorders (particularly OCD, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder), as well as recurring depression, marital/couples therapy and problematic relationship patterns. She employs cognitive therapy in her approach to treating clients, and is also well-versed in related approaches such as ACT, DBT, and mindfulness. She works with older adolescents and adults. Dr. Collins places an emphasis in treatment on a collaborative approach, coupled with a warm interpersonal style.
