Dr. Aastha Gupta, C. Psych.
Dr. Aastha Gupta obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington DC. During graduate school, she worked in a variety of clinical settings in Washington DC metro area including Children’s National Medical Center, Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax, and Inova Hospital. Prior to accepting a position at Centre for Cognitive Therapy, she completed her predoctoral internship and clinical residency at Truman Medical Center, where she enjoyed conducting pre-surgical psychological evaluations for Bariatric surgery patients.
Dr. Gupta enjoys working with a variety of mental health concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, chronic pain, insomnia, and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Some of her ongoing research interests are acculturation experiences related to immigration and the mind-body connection. She believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship and enjoys subtle humour with her clients. She enjoys singing, playing racquetball, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her Labrador.
